National Dog Day says Miss Underwood is a good girl

Carrie Underwood had an important message to share with everyone on National Dog Day. She turned to social media and posted a picture of her two rescue dogs, Ace and Penny, emphasizing the importance of adopting rescue pets.

“In honor of #NationalDogDay here are my little fur bundles of joy, Ace and Penny…they are naughty and crazy and noisy, but I love ’em!” Underwood writes, adding the hashtags #AdoptDontShop and #rescuedog.

Underwood is close to her dogs as well and will even get special water-based physical therapy for Ace in the early part of 2017 when he suffered paralysis after a herniated disk.

She shared an online movie of the little guy going through the therapy, updating her followers with the message, “his left side is slowly getting better but we have a long way to go.”
