Great things happening in Estes Park

Nominations are in play for the National Philanthropy Day Awards 2017. They will be presented at the 8th annual celebration in Estes Park on Thursday, November 9 from 4 – 7 pm.

Philanthropy in Estes Valley is a noteworthy endeavor with charitable events, volunteering and sharing special talent that positively affects someone’s life.

The Estes Park Nonprofit Resource Center is organizing a community-wide event at held the YMCA of the Rockies.

Award categories:

  • Youth Philanthropist of the Year
  • Business Philanthropist of the Year
  • Enduring Service
  • Individual Philanthropist of the Year.

Previous award nominees and recipient included Cynthia Krumme, Wayne Park, Craig Soderberg, Kristen Berg, Connie Dedon, Steve Smersh, and Dr. John Cooper.

This week we will highlight the 2016 “Katie Speer” Individual Philanthropist of the Year Award recipient, Kristen Berg.
